Pre and Post Operative Care
Are you preparing for or recovering from eye surgery? We understand that surgery can be accompanied by feelings of stress, anxiety, and even fear. We want to make sure that you feel prepared, at ease, and as comfortable as possible during this time. Read on to discover how we can provide before and after care to put your mind at ease and make your surgery experience as pleasant as possible.
Our pre-operative care
Eye problems that require surgery are often first detected during a regular eye exam. This is because we keep a record of all eye tests, enabling us to compare the results to previous exams and recognize any significant changes in your vision.
During your comprehensive eye exam, one of our expert optometrists may notice an eye health or vision issue that requires special care and attention. If surgery is required, our pre-operative care consists of testing to make sure your eyes are ready for surgery. We will then relay all the information to the specialist so that they all have the relevant information they need to perform your surgery. After all, we know your eyes best.
Our post-operative care
Once your surgery is over, we’ll make sure you have the medication you need to heal your eye and reduce tenderness. Post-operative care consists of several visits to make sure healing is on track. After each visit, we’ll relay all information to the specialist. Once your eyes are completely healed, we’ll supply you with an updated prescription so you can get new glasses.
